DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Pavel Barikin\, Magdalena Balcerak Jackson (HCM)\n\n
\nQTMART is a workshop on algebra and representation theory taken in a bro
ad sense\, run by and for queer and trans mathematicians. It aims to showc
ase the research done in this field by this community and bring together s
enior researchers\, junior researchers\, and graduate students to discuss
topics of common interest in a non-competitive environment.\nAlongside the
workshop\, an exploratory program on queer mathematics and inclusion will
take place. The activities of the program will focus on exploring what it
means to do mathematics as a queer or trans mathematician\, and if there
are such things as queer mathematics. It will also address the question of
how to make the working culture and environment more welcoming and divers
e\, and will aim to initiate concrete actions in this regard.\nThis worksh
op welcomes talks by early-career researchers. Please indicate on the appl
ication form if you would like to give a talk and on what topic.\nThe even
t is open to everyone accepting the community agreement. However\, priorit
y in assigning talks will be given to self-identifying queer and trans mat
hematicians\, and some activities in the program will be reserved for this
group.\n\nWe gratefully acknowledge the support of the London Mathematica
l Society for funding and supporting the organization of this workshop. Th
eir contribution was essential in making this event possible.\n\nThis work
shop has also received funding from the European Research Council (ERC) un
der the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme
(Grant agreement No. 950326).\nWe would also like to thank RepNet\, The UK
-European Representation Theory and  Categorification Network\, for suppo
 rting this event: https://sites.google.com/york.ac.uk/repnet/home.\nThe de
adline for the application for participation is March 28\, 2025.\n \n\nPl
