 study convolution sums of divisor functions with \n(complex) indices. We s
 how that a natural class of such convolution \nsums  admits exact identit
 ies in terms of Fourier coefficients of Hecke \ncusp forms weighted by (no
 t necessarily critical) values of their \nL-functions. The approach uses s
 pectral methods and involves the \nEstermann zeta functions and the Peters
