Topology Seminar\nA contact manifold is a smooth manifold with an extra g
eometric structure.A knot in a contact manifold is Legendrian if it is eve
rywhere tangent to the contact planes. The classification problem in Legen
drian knot theory is lot finer than its topological counter part. The prob
lem gets even trickier when we start considering links. In this talk\, I'l
l give a brief introduction to these knots and links\, survey some of the
important problems in this area and then discuss the classification proble
m for cable links of twist knots. Part of this is joint work with John Etn
yre \, Hyunki Min and Tom Rodewald.\nNo background on contact topology wil
 l be assumed.\n\nhttps://math-events.uni-bonn.de/event/1292/
