DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Kam Cheong Au (Universität Köln)\n\nNumber theory
lunch seminar\nA representation zeta function (or Witten zeta function) is
a Dirichlet series formed from the dimensions of irreducible representati
ons of an algebraic object (e.g.\, of a Lie algebra\, or Lie group). An ex
ample is the Riemann zeta function.\n \nIn this talk\, we introduce some
of the major properties of such zeta functions\, discuss their special val
ues and open conjectures\, with an emphasis on the arithmetic side of the
 story.\n\nhttps://math-events.uni-bonn.de/event/1352/
