Oberseminar Topolgie/Miniseries "Floer homotopy theory"

There has been recent interest in incorporating methods from homotopy into symplectic topology and Floer theory. We will survey some of these ideas, including Abouzaid-Blumberg's manifold-theoretic construction of the stable homotopy category, the relationship to equivariant transversality problems, and some applications.

Talk II:
I will discuss Abouzaid-Blumberg's manifold-theoretic construction of the stable homotopy category. This provides a natural receptacle for homotopical lifts of Floer-theoretic invariants, as well as providing an axiomatisation for the structure of moduli spaces arising in Morse and Floer theory.
