DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Noah Porcelli (MPIM)\n\nOberseminar Topolgie/Miniser
ies "Floer homotopy theory"\nThere has been recent interest in incorporati
ng methods from homotopy into symplectic topology and Floer theory. We wil
 l survey some of these ideas\, including Abouzaid-Blumberg's manifold-theo
retic construction of the stable homotopy category\, the relationship to e
quivariant transversality problems\, and some applications.\nTalk II:I wil
l discuss Abouzaid-Blumberg's manifold-theoretic construction of the stabl
e homotopy category. This provides a natural receptacle for homotopical li
fts of Floer-theoretic invariants\, as well as providing an axiomatisation
for the structure of moduli spaces arising in Morse and Floer theory.\n\n
