DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Noah Porcelli (MPIM)\n\nOberseminar Topolgie/Miniser
ies "Floer homotopy theory"\nThere has been recent interest in incorporati
ng methods from homotopy into symplectic topology and Floer theory. We wil
 l survey some of these ideas\, including Abouzaid-Blumberg's manifold-theo
retic construction of the stable homotopy category\, the relationship to e
quivariant transversality problems\, and some applications.\nTalk III:I wi
ll discuss the `bubbling' phenomenon in Floer theory\, including why this
prevents the construction of smooth moduli spaces in Floer theory. I will
discuss the failure of equivariant transversality\, and how chromatic homo
topy theory can help us to bypass this.\n\nhttps://math-events.uni-bonn.de
