Description
Number theory lunch seminar
Reversed primes have been a hot topic lately. These are primes which are written backwards in some fixed number base b≥2. Although once confined to the realms of recreational and elementary number theory, reversed primes are now studied using deep analytic tools. In this talk, I'll discuss some of the major results on this topic, and then describe some of my recent work on conjecturing and proving a "reverse" Goldbach conjecture. In general, I'll aim to keep the talk fun and accessible. Some of this work is joint with Shashi Chourasiya and Michael Harm.
