DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Anupam Datta (Uni Bonn)\n\nKK-theory can be seen as
a homotopy theory for C*-algebras. It is plausible to ask whether it can b
e cast in the framework of abstract homotopy theory. In the non-equivarian
t case\, Joachim-Johnson showed in 2007 that KK-groups are in fact the hom
otopy groups of a stable model structure on pro-C*-algebras. I will discus
s similar results in the equivariant case\, with a locally compact group a
ction on the algebras involved. Some new techniques involving universal eq
uivariant algebras were needed in the construction which would also be dis
cussed. Lastly\, a comparison could be made to the more recent infinity ca
tegorical equivariant KK-theory à la Bunke.\nThis is joint work with Mich
 ael Joachim.\n\nhttps://math-events.uni-bonn.de/event/161/
