Description
In this talk, I will discuss some of my work in probabilistic and extremal combinatorics, focusing on problems in Ramsey theory and design theory. A major theme will be the role of random graphs, both as a source of intuition and as a tool for constructing and analysing combinatorial structures. I will illustrate these ideas through several results on size-Ramsey numbers and Latin squares. I will also discuss settings where deterministic methods play a central role.
