DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Stein Meereboer (MPI)\n\nQuantum symmetric pairs (U\
,B) provide quantum analogues of symmetric pairs of Lie algebras (g\,k) an
d consist of a quantized enveloping algebra U and a coideal subalgebra B.
In 2002\, Kostant formulated a branching law for symmetric pairs (g\,k)\,
which shows that this branching is governed by a reductive subalgebra m=Z_
K(a). In this talk\, we will explain that this branching law extends to th
e (quantum) Kac–Moody case over fields of characteristic zero. One of th
e main ingredients is Watanabe’s notion of integrable modules. This is j
 oint work with Stefan Kolb.\n\nhttps://math-events.uni-bonn.de/event/1736/
