Polterovich provided an example of a Lagrangian that is nondisplaceable, but whose product with the 0-section of $T^*S1$ becomes displaceable. This raises a complementary, quantitative question: Can the displacement energy of a displaceable Lagrangian decrease under such stabilization? I will present a systematic approach to studying this question in the toric Fano setting, where we can compute the (bulk-deformed) superpotential in terms of the tropical geometry of the moment polytope. This is joint work with Ipsita Datta.
