    Quantum Topology Seminar

    We introduce W*-Cat, the bicategory of  W*-categories, functors and natural transformations and discuss its equivalence with the Morita category of von Neumann algebras (vN2). We highlight some analogies of W*-categories with Hilbert spaces.
    We further introduce categorified von Neumann algebras, building up to a definition of a Bicommutant Category and categorified Connes fusion of modules over those.
    We finally introduce some examples of bicommutant categories associated to chiral CFTs.
