DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Michael Rapoport\n\nThe modular curve with $\\Gamma_
0(p)$-level structure has a\nbeautiful integral model over $\\BZ_p$\, and
generalizations of this model\nto any Shimura variety with $p$-parahoric l
evel have been constructed in\nthe last 30 years. When passing from $\\Gam
ma_0(p)$-level to\n$\\Gamma_1(p)$-level\, the situation changes drasticall
 y. In the talk I\nwill explain a general method that potentially allows to
deal with such\nlevel structures. The method is based on the construction
of torus\nembeddings of the maximal torus of a reductive group scheme. Jo
