DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Andrew Mathas (University of Syndey)\n\nI will descr
 ibe how to construct bases for the cyclotomic KLR algebras of affine types
  A and C\, although I will mainly focus on affine type A in level 1. I wil
 l explain where these bases come from\, including their connections to oth
 er work such as the Murphy basis\, and the LLT conjecture. The final part 
 of the talk\, which is very much work in progress\, will introduce a new b
 asis for (some of) these algebras that seems to have much better propertie
