I will talk about a joint project with Chenjing Bu, Ben Davison,
Andrés Ibáñez Núñez, and Tasuki Kinjo.
We define BPS cohomology for a large class of stacks, which is a finite
dimensional graded Q-vector space, and decompose the cohomology of the
stack in terms of BPS cohomologies of associated stacks.
I will discuss an application to the structure of cohomological Hall
algebras introduced by Kontsevich-Soibelman. We reprove the cohomological
integrality theorem of Davison-Meinhardt for quivers with potential, and
we prove a version of it for moduli of objects in more general Calabi-Yau
3-categories, including for coherent sheaves on Calabi-Yau 3-folds with
orientation.
