HIM School is a week-long event directed at PhD students and recent Postdocs (up to six years past their PhD).
Everyone interested in participating - regardless of whether financial support is needed - must apply, except for:
- PhD students and early-career researchers, who were already invited and have confirmed to be at HIM during the period of this School. (They are automatically admitted to this event.)
- Researchers from the HCM, in particular, early-career researchers, who may join upon request to the program coordinators Emma Seggewiss and Kanami Ueda. (You can find the email addresses below.)

Complex interactions spanning multiple scales and high-dimensional parameter spaces are now commonplace in many modern scientific and engineering applications. To address these challenges, a range of advanced computational strategies—such as multifidelity, multilevel, and multiscale approaches—have been developed. This winter school aims to equip participants with the theoretical understanding and practical skills necessary to navigate and apply these innovative methods through comprehensive lectures covering both foundational principles and real-world applications.
