Description

Number theory lunch seminar

We give an introduction to Beurling generalized number systems and their associated zeta functions. These admit an Euler product, but typically lack a functional equation or meromorphic continuation to the whole plane. We give an overview of some analytic properties (e.g. growth and zero-distribution) and also discuss several interesting examples.
