We will discuss Period index questions for Brauer group of  fields. In particular for function fields of hyperelliptic curves over a number field,
we will explain the geometric constructions and via Lieblich's theory, provide a proof of period equals index of  2-torsion Brauer elements,
under some local assumptions.
