Following a short introduction to the Inverse Problem in Electrocardiographic Imaging (ECGI) the need for regularization in this context will be motivated. After introducing the classically used Total Variation (TV) regularizer, generalizations on Finite Element meshes and its higher order variant, Total Generalized Variation (TGV), will be expanded upon. Subsequently convergence statements of discrete, regularized optima towards continuous ones will be presented together with explicit convergence rates.
