Description:
This workshop explores the application of continuous and discrete functional analysis tools to the numerical discretization of partial differential equations. Key topics include the construction of finite-dimensional exact sequences, and the study of right-inverses for differential operators and forms. Further focus is placed on functional inequalities in broken Sobolev spaces and their application to nonlinear problems, including Leray-Lions and non-Newtonian models, alongside the study of convergence under low data regularity. Discussions will also cover the K-method of interpolation, the challenges posed by the Lavrentiev gap, and the preservation of physical constraints in computational models.
